How much does a VMware exit to OpenStack cost?

The costs depend on the workload mix, not on the overall size. How sovereign is an EU cloud really, measured against NIS2 and the EU Data Act?

Sovereignty depends on three factors: data storage location, legal framework of the operator and access options for third parties. Yorizon operates its own data centers in Germany under German and EU law. There is no US CLOUD Act; data access by US authorities is structurally excluded. The infrastructure is based on OpenStack and Sovereign Cloud Stack (SCS) with open APIs; a switch to another operator is possible without proprietary dependencies.

What does exit capability mean in concrete terms for cloud infrastructure?

Exit capability means: data, configurations and workloads can be transferred to another operator or into your own data center without having to break open proprietary formats. Yorizon is built on OpenStack and SCS. Both are open source standards with open APIs and broad operator support. An exit architecture is documented when you start, not added retroactively.

Can I move individual workloads without migrating everything?

Yes, and that is the recommended way to start. Yorizon works on a workload basis: you decide which systems move to a sovereign environment first. Current hyperscaler contracts, on-premises systems and Yorizon infrastructure coexist without forced consolidation. Building an exit option step by step does not require a big bang.
