Kommune21: How well prepared are municipalities for AI?

German trade publication Kommune21 reports on our nationwide, representative study conducted with Civey on digitalization, AI adoption and sustainability in municipal administrations. 1,500 decision-makers were surveyed. The article finds that only a fraction of municipalities pursue concrete digitalization targets, while AI is already in use in many places — often without a clear strategy.
